Kythnos Hiking ( performed strongly in April and May with tours to see the wildlife of exotic flowers and birds in March/April, and once walking started the highlight was the extended Orthodox Easter tour.

Guests joined the rest of the community on the Greek island for the Easter procession, the church service on Saturday evening, and music and dancing on Sunday accompanied by roast lamb. All this after Lenten food dishes.

"Staying on for the Easter celebrations was wonderful - the highlight of the holiday," said guest Diana from England in her review (here) of the walking, the accommodation, the tavernas, the island, and the guiding.

Belgian walker Zahava wrote: "The history of the archaeological sites is fascinating. The walks are pleasant, the altitude difference is reasonable and easy. Additionally, each day's walk ends at a beach and a refreshing swim.

"Everything is well organised," she said.

Because of strong demand for Kythnos tours, we will mostly be running our tours on our neighbour islands of Serifos and Sifnos in September and October.

Serifos boasts a marvellous Hora hillside, a winery, a manned monastery and good sandy beaches. Try our quiz about Serifos here to learn more.
