Kythnos Hiking (https://www.kythnoshiking.com) programme for 2024 is taking shape, kicking off at the end of March with wildlife tours on the Greek Cycladic island, and includes an extended Greek Orthodox Easter tour at the end of April.

Our own wildlife tour starting on 25 March will showcase a variety of orchids and fritillaries only visible for a brief spring period, migratory birds, and mammals such as dolphins seen from the ferry and rare monk seals around the island.

In April we start our six-day Kythnos walking tours which cross wild countryside from traditional villages to historic sites from ancient times and in the Byzantine period, always including one of Kythnos's many beaches.

On 29 April, we repeat our wonderful extendable Greek Orthodox Easter tour including the Friday evening village procession, the fast-breaking Saturday service and midnight dinner; and on Sunday traditonal music and dancing.

In May, we hope to host two private tours, including one to the neighbouring island of Sifnos, before returning to Kythnos for guaranteed tours on 20 May, 3 June and 10 June. Later in June we plan to go to Serifos and Sifnos islands.

After the July/August break for hot weather, walking resumes on Kythnos on 2 September when the tour is guaranteed to go.

Prices for booking 2024 tours will remain at 2023 prices until the end of the year. Any price rises to offset inflation are likely to be modest on current forecasts. All prices include ferries, accommodation, breakfast, dinner and guiding.

The higher priced wildlife/nature tour will remain at 740 euro/person, reflecting the cost of our excellent guide David Koutsogiannopoulos (www.naturagraeca.com), the use of minibus and a boat for a round the island trip.
