x Wildlife tour 27 March still open for bookings
x Seven-day tour option for Greek Easter events
x Mulling Sifnos inclusion in three-island mega-tour
Hiking and wildlife tours beckon for 2023 on the Greek Cycladic island of Kythnos (www.kythnoshiking.com), near to Athens and so far unspoilt by mass tourism.
Kick off for the year is on 27 March with our 6-day wildlife tour to see exotic flowers, such as orchids and frittilaries, and view birds on their annual migration to the north of Europe.
This nature tour is more expensive than hiking and takes in a boat trip to see sea birds on cliffs and possibly monk seals, and uses a minibus for photograph taking, less walking,
Also we hire Greek naturalist David Koutsogiannopoulos, founder of www.naturagraeca.com website, to be an expert guide for all aspects of island flora and fauna.
April hiking includes the option of an 8-day tour for the Greek Orthodox Easter ceremonies of the Friday procession, church service/dinner Saturday, and music on Sunday (16 April).
Booking for the Easter tour starting 10 April will include a 200 euro supplement for the extra two nights at the hotel and a specially tailored programme of walking and events.
Tours through to October follow our programme of hill walking, historic site visits, beach pauses for swimming, sea kayak, snorkel, and beach massage, plus fine dining.
We are mulling an autumn mega-tour to include Kythnos, Serifos, where we already go, and Sifnos, the next island in the west Cycladic chain which has an advanced walking network.
