x Record numbers walk on Kythnos, Serifos in 2019

x Modest increase to prices, effective 1/1/20

x April 2020 to see nature, culture tours

2019's hiking season closed on a high with good-sized groups on Greek island Kythnos and its southerly neighbour Serifos, capping our fourth full year of operation and establishing our position on the market.

The strong appreciation is reflected in our reviews on TripAdvisor and on Responsible Travel where our walks to historical and cultural sites attract plaudits, mostly 5-star ratings on both sites.

Because of these developments and to take account of higher costs from suppliers we are increasing retail prices by just over 10 percent while keeping unchanged the single supplements and one-day rate.

The increased prices will only become effective from 1 January 2020. So book early and keep your deposit and the final payment at the 2019 prices. Full details on www.kythnoshiking.com.

In 2020, the single person price for our 6-day classic hiking holiday will go up to 395 euro, from 350 euro, while the single supplement for those wanting their own room stays at 200 euro.

The increases will also help finance research on new walking routes on Kythnos, our nature tours, some path cleaning, and on Serifos, the fine-tuning of some of our regular established routes.

Another change already applied is a mild tightening of our pre-booking health checks to ensure you are suitably adapted for the inclines and rocky terrain on some of our mule-track paths.

Next year's season launches at the start of April with a nature-focused tour as well as with our classic tours visiting historic sites on the island, passing wild nature, and ending on sandy beaches.
