Last minute: Kythnos Hiking still taking bookings for autumn season

The autumn season of hiking on the Greek island of Kythnos gets going on Monday with availability for additional walkers to sign up up for hiking until the end of October.

We continue to enrich the walking programmes with additional routes and visits, emphasising the natural beauty of the island as well as the traditional cultural highlights.

In particular, we will start visiting the new modern cheese-making plant in addition to our regular visits to honey making farms where we get close to the bees and their hives.

The walks include a visit to the ongoing excavation of an ancient city, and to the ruins of a Byzantine castle on a spectacular headland. Also we visit the hot springs.

The weather, the beaches and the warm sea will continue in Autumn. Beachside taverna will stay open at least in the short-term. After it will be back to picnic lunches.

Prices for our holiday packages remain highly competitive and include transfers from Athens, ferries, accommodation, all meals except evening drinks, and guiding.

We will aim to enjoy traditional music and dancing events when these are available and numbers are sufficient to make them enjoyable.

To book and pay online visit www.kythnoshiking.com. The system takes major credit cards and will only demand a 20 percent deposit when the initial booking is made.
